    Just An Observation!

As a newbie ped owner here is my twopenneth. The reason I chose a ped was not really to show her (though my 5 year old daughter may take her to a show sometime) it was more about checking the quality of the breeder and the dog. Mine was the last pup available but I knew I would have her if the...

    Lady Setlling Well

Lady has settled in ever so well. So far she has chewed her own stuff and just two paperbacks I left around (still readable). She is sleeping in her cage at night but prefers someone with her. She wakes us early to be let out and will ask to be let out to do her business during the day , unless...

    Another Puppy Size Question...

    Couldn't agree more but I thought I'd check the KC standard as I couldn't remember it. http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/discover.../hound/h793.htm Height: dogs: 47-51 cms (18 1/2 - 20 ins); bitches: 44-47 cms (17 1/2 - 18 1/2 ins).

    Now For The Name

Thanks for all the suggestions. My girls have decided (with a little help) that as my first whippet was called "Queenie" , that would be (cough) nearly 30 years ago, and she was the absolute spit of our new pup (what a coincidence!) we should stick to the aristocratic tradition and go for "Lady".

    Now For The Name

We have found a new family member, she is 5 weeks old and doesn't have a name yet. Any ideas? I hope I have got the picture right.

    Right Here I Go

Our whippet loved to run on the beach at Blackpool. I remember one day in the 1980s a Rottweiller owner coming down to us and warning us he was going to let off his dog so we should get ours on a lead as he always chases other dogs and he might "eat him". I just laughed. "Be my guest" I said...

    Puppy Search, Wiltshire And Around

Hello all, Thanks for posting pictures of your lovely whippet puppies. One look at them has helped persuade my better half that though lurchers are lovely a whippet is what our family needs. I had whippets as a child and my parents have since had rescue greyhounds but now is not really the...
