Thank you. It’s so tricky. Yes I know I might never be able to trust them together again :( but our only other option really is to rehome him so we want to try this option first. Behaviourist said to try training kokoni to keep away from our Cocker while he is recovering. And of course, with...
Thank you Violet. I’ve spoken to a dog beahviourist who suggested that we muzzle the kokoni whilst working hard on training him. We think the recent attacks are because our Cocker is currently on special wet food for kidney failure and he smells of it all the time particularly as food is getting...
Hi. I’ve posted on here before when my Cocker was very poorly and was very grateful for the help. My Cocker ended up, 4 weeks ago, with a diagnosis of severe pancreatitis and surgery to remove his spleen which had a tumour and was then diagnosed with kidney failure. It’s been a nightmare. I have...
I had to ring the vets when I got back home after collecting the painkillers as Archie vomited while I was out (husband was with him). Vet said don’t panic at this point as he hasn’t vomited for 7 days but if he’s vomiting tomorrow and/or is still not picking up, I will ring them again.
Thank...
Thank you.
He’s more relaxed and chilled on the painkillers. Just hope I can still get his antibiotics down him tonight while he’s feeling a bit spaced out. Good news is that he’s drinking well at home, sometimes needs my encouragement - I’m very conscientious of lack of fluids.
Xx
I rang again and the vet is calling me in about 20 minutes after her last consultation. Meanwhile, Archie has had a bit more food and seems a little more comfortable. Yes fingers crossed indeed. Thank you xx
So was I, that’s why I asked them twice. He was taken off morphine on Wednesday and off strong painkillers on Friday when we brought him home. I just want them to prescribe pain relief that I can just go and pick up. He’s eating and drinking at home but refuses to in the hospital. It was awful...
I had asked them twice for pain relief and anti-sickness meds to bring home but they said he didn't need them. I did ring and am waiting for the vet to call me back. X
Hello. I posted on here 2 weeks ago about my beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Archie, who was miserable with a Hot Spot at the time.
Things went from bad to worse as he stopped eating and drinking and was clearly in pain. He was admitted to the vet hospital a week ago with pancreatitis. During a scan...
I bought him a Comfy Cone from Amazon, Violet. So much more practical and comfortable
