he has his own basket
we have always believed that a dog needs their own space where they cannot be bothered by children,or anyone
he has never messed there
we also have some 'pads' that are scented to attract pups to go there...but he is quite a tall lad and we think he just has trouble...
some great advice-thanks
i'm sure he will settle, but in the meantime,my mom doesn't want her carpets ruined
that's why i always had old carpets and furniture-with kids/dogs,it's a must
much of what you are saying, she is doing
we were just thinking about any specific tips for greyhounds that...
thanks for the tips
he has his last meal at 6pm
his poos are formed now, though it has only been the last day or so that they have been
she has only had him for less than a week
he is 4yrs and has lived in kennels up to now
he has also been neutered within past 2 wks-thought this may have...
after some great advice from the wonderful people here,at K9,my mother has gone ahead and adopted a retired racing greyhound.
He is a beautiful dog and is settling in very quickly after an extremely nervous start. He is quickly finding his feet, but we suspect he may have been hit by his previous...
my dogs sister leapt over a cliff chasing a rabbit
my own dog so nearly did the same
it is such a terrible thing to happen
i feel so much for the poor owners and the poor dog, which prolly did not go quickly
so sad

thanks so much for the advice.my mom is generally very active and enjoys walking the dogs plenty.
I was thinking maybe it might be a good idea to take our dogs to the park with the new greyhound before we go to the house,so they can get to know each other on neutral ground.
thanks again.

she has decided to get a rescue greyhound. The greyhound rescue people are visiting her home to asess suitability next week.
my grandmother is concerned that it might be too big a dog for...

my baby loves the snow too.
but i don't put her coat on cos she loves to roll in the snow and it seems to spoil her fun.
i only put her coat on if it's really lashing down, now she is knocking on a bit.
bless em.

i was always led to believe that lurchers are quite nervous by nature.
my sweetheart is more scared than any other dog i have ever known.scared of fireworks, and any loud noises.at this time of year she is even scared of the dark cos it makes her more wary of loud noises.I am terrified that one...
absolutely true.
if the pup is happy, why not.
the fact is that my girl has never been encouraged or shown how to hunt, but you just try and stop her.it's in her blood(can't be in her brain-there's not enough space).
i think we all know, you can't make a lurcher do something it doesn't want to...
OMG!!!!!!!
