Thank you so much both.
My puppy does love chewing cardboard, though I get a bit concerned as I'm sure she eats a bit too much of it during the chewing.
Off to google licki mat and snuffle mat :)

What keeps your puppy occupied at home?
Mine likes chewing milk cartons....anything plastic including water bottles.
she's not too bothered about the kong bones and other rubber bones.
sometimes i put treats in plastic containers which you get fruit and veg in from the supermarket and that takes...
we had our puppy in her crate over night, with the crate door open, from day 1. the first couple of days she whined, but now she knows that this is where she sleeps and she happily gets in there when i say "bed time" at night.
i need my sleep too so i'm happy that this arangement works for us...
Aw. I partly try to give her attention when she whines, but also partly think i shouldn't as that is supporting the whining. To be able to read their minds would be amazing!!!
Hello,
quite often my puppy whines...She's 5 months and i often don't know what this means.
Some times she can have eaten, been out, i'm with her and she still whines and whines.
Some times i think i know the answer, for example she wants my husband, or to go out, but often i think i've done...
i didn't think you were supposed to give bones to puppies, or was i misinformed? something to do with splintering of the bone?
is she a chewer? milk cartons/plastic bottles work a treat.
enjoy your puppy :)
Hi All,
We went to the vets yesterday. I called and they were keen that we went in asap.
The vet examined her and couldn't feel any blockages.
the vet decided not to xray as she was happy with the examination and how she was doing. plus she said for an xray our puppy would have to be sedated -...
thanks all. by lunch time she seemed completely fine, and she still does so we haven't been to the vet today.
i'm a bit concerned still that she does seem sensitive around her abdomen.
Her poo is normal.
i don't particularly want to head to the vet so easily, plus the costs quickly escalate...
hello,
Puppy's abdomen hurts if i pick her up this morning. i usually pick her up and she's fine, but today she yelped a little - not a scream, but a small yelp.
She seems a bit lethargic too.
I was thinking i'll wait until lunchtime and see how she is then make an appointment if no change.
I...
Thank you. I just have the concern that I won't be as good as a professional so I'm worried that if I do it myself i'll miss doing something. Plus there are certain things that i just can't seem to get her to do :(
Hi All,
Please could I have your thoughts on training?
I've done some research and there are some group sessions near me. My pup is nearly 5 months so we were told she can't do the puppy class, but instead need to do the class up from that (adolescent?). However, the times for the older class...
good luck. I'm still trying to keep my pup from jumping up on the kitchen work tops. it's been weeks now shouting "off!" . i don't reward with a treat as i don't always have them to hand.
Thanks all.
Will look at the equine wash bags.
Trying to get the hair off before the wash is quite a chore so if there is some washing setting/washing machine related solution that would be great.
Hi All,
i'm usually in the puppy forum, but thought I'd venture in to the grown up bit for this query :)
I was wondering what tips people had for washing pet hair off clothes. Of course I want minimum effort :) Stuff I've heard of/ tried so far: Pre wash cycle ....vinegar.....tumble drier...
