Hi,
Floyd's left eye, as you look at him, is a bit weepy, before I take him to the vet and other than wiping it with a bit of cotton wool and water is there anything I can do, and any ideas? Also sometimes, especially when we take him on a little walk, he starts so sniff in and out, it' more...
Aww Fynn looks so cute and mischeivous in this picture, I know it's a daft questoin but is it just a normal bandanna, how do you get it on and off, is there a puppy collar underneath?

Hi,
We are not sure, we thought he was russian blue at one point, we recused him from a family who didn't want him and were just going to boot him out somewhere! he is lovely but can be a git agro sometimes, he and the dog are stepping around each other now, still with caution!

Hi all!
You were right I think I have got this picture think nailed with excellent instructions from Elizabeth (Moriate) on Adobe photoshop.
I have enc. one of the cat sat in one of his favourite spots and my other half in one of his, only it's not so comfortable now......
Still trying to...
Thank you all, I was worried he may look a little skinny, but he seems to be growing fast, I suppose I need to weigh him.
Jo and Leo are Borzois (russian wolfhounds I think)
It's thanks to Moriate (Elizabeth) that the pic is up, I am still struggling using photobucket! but I will try and get...
During Floyd's first week with us we took him to meet the in laws, Joseph and Leo ( both 16 months and adorable).
He has got them wrapped around his little paw!

The collars are lovely,
www.mrsbones.com - has some lovely collars, I ordered a stripey beechnut one for Floyd, my other half thinks its to girly for a boy, but I think its fun and the lovely bright colours go with his (blue) colouring. When he is big enough to wear it I will...
Hi All,
Yet again thank you for your ideas, I am deffo going to try and vary his diet, he seems to have the food attention span of a gnat, and while I don't want to spoil him too much, I think it will enhance his health and overall well being if he has lots of lovely meals to look forward to...
Crikey, went on the threads about feeding and there is so much info. I am still not sure what to do, I will carry on with tripe and try and add a mixer and vit supplement in, what type and where do I get dog vitamins from? and any ideas for a good mixer?
Thanks
Lise
Sorry to be a pest, but I gave up on mixing "james well beloved complete food" in with his tripe, the little terror just flicked dired stuff out insearch for tripe, so i just give him a 1/3rd of green tripe block each meal (3 meals as instructed by the lady I got him from). Is this enough now I...
Thank you all so much for the kind and helpful advice you gave to me last week about our new whippet pup Floyd and the anxiety I was experiencing with the dog & the cat, although they are not the best of mates yet they are wary and politely step around each other.
Floyd has settled well, he...
Hi,
Yes he has.
He was at the in laws last night, they live on a farm, he was really raring to go, but I need to train him up on coming back when called and walking on a lead.
How long is to long for a 4 month old?
Lise
I tried to attach pictures but got this message:-
"The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments."
Any ideas! :(
Also, Floyd is 4 months, the lady who I got...
Here are some pics, I hope they work!
Also, Floyd is 4 months, the lady who I got him from said I could probably take him out for 10 mins on walk - on a lead - he is a bit stubborn and sometimes just sits when I practice around the gaden, when can I take him out for his daily exercise 2-3 walks...
Thank you all for the advice, it's pretty much what I thought I would need to do, but I worry for the whippet as I know our cat (Greyee- embarrassing name chosen by a young cousin some years ago) is a mardy one at times and I dread to think of his claws!
I suppose I need to let nature take its...
We have just got our first whippet, a blue boy called Floyd, he is 4 months old and adorable, he travelled 3 1/2 hours home with us and was so good, he has settled in well, is playful and just started eating ( we got him on saturday), I have taken him to vet to a make sure loss of appetite...
Hi All,
Thanks for your replies, its a real help, especially the dog flap info. security is definately an issue. I just wanted the dog to have as much freedom as possible, but I would be heartbroken if he got pinched.
