Thank you for the added info. I have had Bernie for 2 weeks now and long term I wanted him in the kitchen in his crate (we're actually at that stage now). Sleeping in a crate is ideal because that's his place to sleep no matter which room it is in. Start him out in your bedroom to help him...
How old is the puppy? Are you crate training? Are you feeding kibble? And where are you wanting the pup to sleep long term?

Unfortunately not :( Daddy can't sleep with Bernie snoring his little head off, while I myself find it quite comforting.
He sleeps in his crate in the kitchen and comes in to bed in the mornings for cuddles.
