 They are a beautiful bunch, and it was probably an amazing achievement to keep them all in one place, let alone looking at the camera!
Off to mooch around now...all these puppy pics on K9 are bad for my health.... I start imagining puppy breath...hallucinating even!!!! :D
Oh dear...... Stripey withdrawal is a chronic condition, it doesn't leave you!! I still miss Dash's special 'stripey smile' and that was after only a few days! I hope that you are coping with the condition and it doesn't spoil your holiday. Dash's 'stripey magic' has clearly got...
I wouldn't have a problem with the beaches, or the more popular ones in Northumberland, being 'closed' to dogs at certain times of day in the peak season. I don't walk on the beaches at the busier times anyway as it is a potential minefield with children, kites, footballs etc. At Cresswell...
'Stressed' grass, along with frosted grass etc can contain the fructans that often trigger Laminitis. To be honest, I'd try the pads you have along with old fashioned sacking (creates a layer to 'breathe' between the foot and the tape) and duct tape. The only useful 'poultice' boots we had...
Sorry to hear this. I have had a look as I did think I had some but must have lent them out and not got them back. Are they the 'equiboot' type you are after? I only used them a few times as I found they rubbed the bulbs of the heel.
Hope all these little ponies are more comfortable soon...
Done!
I live in Northumberland and walk regularly at Druridge Bay and Cresswell. There will always be irresponsible dog owners and it is because of them that we are all going to suffer by being deprived of access this wonderful area. :(
However, by far the worst nuisance in the area are the...
Hi, and welcome! I am so pleased all went well yesterday :)) I fostered Dash for a few days when he first came into Scruples care and have to say that he stole my heart pretty quickly! He is a really lovely character and adores people. He has made amazing progress in a short time thanks...
Yes, the way it works is that you access the retailer site through easyfundraising once you have registered and logged in. They have an extensive list of retailers so there is something to appeal to most people. It's just a question of getting into the habit of going to easyfundraising rather...
Scruples Whippet Rescue are now registered as a Cause at Easyfundraising.org.uk. It is completely free and only takes a few minutes to register as a user and choose Scruples as your 'cause'. If you then purchase anything online from one of the listed retailers they will donate a percentage to...
A little bit of progress. Two of the lads have been to see me to ask my advice about worming. They have booked the pup in at the Vet for a check up and Vaccs on Thursday and have gone off with my scales so that they can weigh him. Still not ideal but at least they are trying to do things...
If only every pup was given the wonderful start that you (and Molly) have provided then there would probably be a lot more happy, well adjusted dogs in this world
Have to agree with Annie, although possibly not ideal, 6 weeks was once 'the norm'. Hopefully, if pup is fully weaned, eating well then he/she will thrive provided you are prepared for the extra care it will need. Good luck with your pup. :luck:
It's not to say I agree with it, if it was me...
I'm still hoping, and I have various 'locals' on the case, that these lads will realise that they cannot keep this pup and, knowing that I have offered to take it, will contact me when they find (sooner rather than later, please God!) that they are out of their depth :(
I've got to add to this and say, that although there are many rescues that probably would love to help, the majority are operating on limited resources and if they went out and bought every 'needy' dog that is advertised on these Freeads sites then their resources would rapidly diminish. £300...
Sadly, as long as the animal has shelter, water and food then the RSPCA cannot/will not intervene. I haven't checked the law (because one of the lads is 18), but I'm pretty sure that had they been under 18 then it would have been illegal for anyone to sell them the puppy. The frighteneing...
 I like June's idea of a laptop full of viruses..... oh that I was 'techie' enough (and had a spare laptop.....sadly the one I've got came out of the ark!!) It is sickening!!
I've had a really stressful weekend! My son, aged almost 16, came in the other night and I could tell something was bothering him (he has an Autistic Spectrum Disorder so doesn't disclose his feelings readily). On Saturday he started asking me questions about what age puppies had their Vaccs...
They are all divine! Mind you, with such a beautiful Mum and a most handsome Dad, it's really not surprising they are gorgeous! Good luck in choosing one Annie.....it's not going to be easy! :))
