Wolf pack behaviour

I know, different species etc but can anybody help me out here?

I am convinced that a few years ago I saw a video clip of wolves walking in a line through snow. Their behaviours demonstrated that contrary to previously held beliefs, the structure of a wolf pack was far more fluid than we had thought.

Can anybody shed light on that?

Fabulous - that is exactly what I was remembering, but apparently it doesn't show fluidity of roles after all. Thank you @JudyN
