Why Wont My Computer Upload My Pics??

Im such a computer duff and get so annoyed when something goes wrong cause i know i wont have a clue what to do :wacko: :rant: When i plug something into the USB hole thingy its not doing anything... I plugged my mobile in the other day and usaully after few seconds it comes up with a wizard so i can put my pics onto the computer...but the computer made abit of a noise ( like it does when its doing something!) but then nothing. I thought maybe just a prob with tthe phone or the computer having a tempremental day ( as they do !lol) but then today ive just plugged my camera in and usaully it goes to a wizard too then loads my pics into finepix viewer....but again made a bit of a noise as if it was going to do something... but then just went dead. On the screen of my camera its saying USB which is how its normally displayed when i plug it in.

any ideas guys as to what could be wrong? Ive tried both USB ports and both are the same

If you go to My computer

then look for the USB or hard device symbol

you should be able to upload from there...or open them.

Sometimes its just a blip in the connection lead or camera card..mine does it occasionally. Try switching the PC off then on again...it should be ok then.

thanks Janis, i didnt realise you could do that! I found the pics where you said but when i unplugged the camera they had gone. I thought it would of automatically saved them in my pics? :unsure:

Yes you would need to save them when you do it this way

or copy and paste them into your pictures or documents. :thumbsup: or store them onto a USB.

Ok Jan, will try that :thumbsup: Thanks. Havent a clue why its not working in the proper way though..tryed again today and still not doing anything! :wacko: Think i'll have to get someone out to it :angry:

You could try uploading the camera software again...and see if that works... :thumbsup:
