my female whippet Zoe broke her front leg couple years ago

it was pinned by the vet, but she has been left with her paw at an angle and she had a slight limp

but the limp seems to be getting more pronounced.

shes active enough, and is'nt over exercised on the leg either

she was on glucosamine for a while, but hasnt had any for a while

is there anything else i can give her to help? she doesnt seem to be in any pain

shes 5yrs old

Hi lesley

I'd say keep up with the glucosamine. My Poacher has it and if I run out of my supply and she misses it for a while I notice a pronounced difference in her flexibility on the bad stifle joint that she has it for.

I expect Zoe will get slight lameness with age anyway as the injury has caused a change in her skeletal and muscular function and that strain will show up in other parts of her structure where she is compensating for the change.

Jx

thanks Jane :teehee:

I will get to the chemist tomorrow and start her on them again.

Ive ordered the yumove and see how she gets on with them

I've been using it on Flyn for 7 months now & it has made a big difference to his arthritic feet
