:0 Just thought I would share this with you all, did anyone see recently the Football manager who had his heart wired up to see what effect the stress and excitement of the match had on his heart beat? It was reported on after Sir Alex Ferguson's heart went haywire.

Well Steve has just been to Blackpool Vic. today for his 6 monthly check up (he has an I.C.D (Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator) unit -not a pace maker- fitted to his heart permanently which monitors his heart rate and gives him a shock if it runs too fast or beats irregularly. This clever device logs the date and precise time if the I.C D detects a change and anticipates what to do about it.

Steve makes a mental note if he feels any change in himself so we can refer back to it also.

Apparently the I.C.D was very active and considering kicking in on the dates of the Scottish Derby when Waterford took the coverted supreme puppy title!

and also in October at Askern when Meg took the Champion of Champions title.

BE WARNED!!!! ;)

Karen, i always said that man was heartless, and now we know, have you considered wiring it to the national grid :D from his ex mate. :p

OH Violet Rose

You have a bionic daddy

Love Rocky

Maybe Tony Blairs a closet whippet racer eh John?

Dick Chaney (excuse the spelling) also has the same problem. :(

Steve's got a heart sure enough, but it just pleases itself, thats the trouble. :(

Could the national grid cope?

It surges now after Coronation street during the commercial break.

yes it is bad for your health , i worked the traps at the 1st of HOEs opens this year & the pace of setting the traps & the next heat trying to over run the area aswell as getting a "little " over exited was at times overwelming & im sure i come away with more grey hairs than when i went! but it was good fun! :w
