Hi

wanting to start attending whippet shows/events. I have a list of contacts and have spoken to a lovely lady in Northern club and I am going up to W Kirkby at the end of the month. I would like to join a club to learn more as I have been observing from a distsnce for two years :D (we Scots are known for our shyness and non-pushiness)

I live in Chester/N Wales border area but originally coming from Scotland, so my geography is a bit lacking!!!! I think the Northern and South Yorkshire clubs would have the shows/events closest to me, is that right? What "spread" of area do both cover? Remember, you are dealing with someone who knows that the Watford gap is somewhere South and that's about it!!! Am I the only one that gets on motorways and desperately tries to remember if home is North/South/East/West?

Anyhow, I am wittering, better direct me to club most tolerant of witterers. Basically, I would appreciate if you can give me some general idea so I can look less like a numpty when I ring club secretaries. When we showed other dogs we joined one particular club because the events had home-made cake and bacon butties!
