I think I need to grow a bit bigger (which may yet happen, if only around the middle). Why is it only me? there'd be plenty of room if they'd sit on OH as well, but no, it has to be me!

There's defintely room in the crook of your arm for a small pup. I've found, from past experience, that whippet bitches quite often prefer blokes to snuggle up to (they're such flirts), given the choice, so there's hope yet.
