Which Dog Paper ??

Which dog paper do you have?

We wondered which was the most popular.

We find the online service that Our Dogs offers is very good for the SYWC results book.

I sell about an even amount of each. Only 5 or 6 in total each week.

I find Our Dogs far more timely in getting out their show reports and critiques. They seem to put them in as soon as they receive them. DW seems to hold on to them for AGES before they get round to posting them. They're only now posting critiques that came out in OD 2 months ago.

But it seems that some judges only submit critiques to one and if it's just one, it's usually DW.

There's good things about both papers. Expensive to get them both, but....

I agree Wendy, Our Dogs are much speedier with critiques AND they have the shows in alphabetical order with Ch shows first and then Open show, so much better. I always e-mail my critiques to the papers now, so much easier! I also prefer the writers in Our Dogs

Well [SIZE=14pt]I [/SIZE]prefer DOG WORLD . I used to have Our Dogs , when I first started showing but much prefer the writers in D W . Prefer the layout too , , Even when I read your O Ds last year Dessie , I really couldnt `get to grips `with it :teehee:

When I have sent in critiques Our Dogs always publishes first and Dog world sometimes not at all. I have got inti the habit of sending a copy of my critique to the Club Secretary who I judged for just to prove I have done one

I used to have OD but have had DW for about 20 years now, its just what you get used to I guess. DW is VERY slow getting the reports in during the champ show season. Like Dessie I email mine in too.

So do I!! I also email my critique on the night of the show and last time it took over 5 weeks to go in DW.

I get both papers, like some breed note writers in each, usually read all of the breed notes not only my breeds.

What this proves is that >40% of k9community members have Our Dogs.

BUT what it doesn't prove is that Our Dogs is a less popular paper overall :blink:
