As the title says, just what has happened, we have a post apparently trying to sell a monkey, and numerous ones trying to get people to get a visa etc from non official channels. Is their no way of ideally stopping them before they post or deleting them soon after they post?

I know, it's a pest. I take it the moderators are volunteers and give the time they can to the forum but I'm not even really sure how to alert them to an issue?

I agree. It worries me to even open the post sometimes. On a different forum (motorhomefacts) there is a facility for reporting a post and that is the only way to get the moderators attention.

I guess it depends on what the forum runs on and how active the mods are. I've moderated/hosted several forums in the past and it can be a full time job keeping on top of things. There are several tools available to help mods including reporting dodgy posts as gypsysmum2 says. Also, you can restrict new members from posting automatically for X amount of posts, whilst everything leading up to X is validated before posted. It's a thankless task! I was surprised about the money post though...

I am not very good with the computer and at times can hardly understand what people are on about (technical) but can we not click on the "Moderators" tab and contact one of the moderators somehow from there !! ?

I usually use the mobile version, I haven't seen the 'Moderators' tab ... Oops?

I don't see a tab, but at the bottom of the main page there's two link to moderators. I guess the only way to flag something up in to send direct message to one of them. That said, there seems to be a lot of moderators listed and I have no idea ho many are active.
