Hi,

Just a quick question What kind of yoghurt do you give your whippets and how much?

My vet has suggested it as Albie still has slightly runny poo. There is nothing wrong with him physically so I am changing his diet to a more natural one and giving yoghurt but there are so many different sorts.

Please help?

I just feed whatever I have in the house....plain or bio...dont give too much..

a tablespoonful is about enough per day.

I only really give it to mine when they have an upset stomach.

PS I also keep Treebarks powder in the house, from Dorwest herbs, its is good for sprinkling into food for similar problems too.

Live goats milk yoghurt usually....one of my dogs has colitis and this really helps whereas cows milk yoghurt makes him worse.

i just put one teaspoonful on each meal for two or three days.

Hi

Just had to do this myself. One puppy had a runny tummy & needed antibiotics. I give Tesco's low fat Bio which has added cultures of various bacteria.

The puppies loved it, as recommended by my vet.

Yum yum

Treebarks is great for tummy upsets stirred into a little goat or rice milk after a 24 hour fast. I also use a fresh bio-yoghurt after any of them have been on antibiotics but the whippets only get a tablespoonful at a time (the iggies get less).

I like Alpro Soya yoghurt myself - it's delicious with a little halva crumbled into it.

Whatever we are having to be honest.... both dogs like to like the lid of life (LOL) but where sid likes fruity, Ben seems to like plain yogurt

evie & eddie are quite partial to muller fruit corners...infact as im speaking thieving-evie has taken a big slurp out of my daughters

Me too, me and Molly fight over it (w00t) if I have a small pot she sits there drooling but if she sits nicely infront of me until I finish it then I leave her a little bit to lick out of the pot. If she starts clambering all over my knees she gets none!

Yeo valley organic natural bio live yoghurt. Plus aloe vera juice.
