What Food?

Skinner's Duck and Rice Hypoallergenic gluten free dry food - don't know why - flippin' Ivy woke me up at 5am the other night just so she could go out and eat the bird bread in the garden! :angry: She also has half a can of meat a day - no, not real meat!! either Winalot or Butcher's tripe.

I feed my three Red Mills Tracker too (with a little tinned meat added). I get it delivered now which makes life easy. :thumbsup:
 
Greyhound Maintenance complete and minced chicken carcasses,or tripe. Veg like spinach, cauli, cabbage stalks, shredded carrots, sprats, the list goes on!!!!
 
lately it's been whatever's on offer at P@H :- either RC, pro plan and Hills, they do alright on it, but normally wouldn't buy it, the price is too inflated for my liking.

will return to arden grange once we finish our 12kg bag.
 
Burns every time. Like to know exactly what I am feeding them. In our case it is venison and brown rice.
 
My little one is having Hills Puppy food as that is what the breeder was giving her. She has eaten very little though and I have started giving her tripe or cooked chicken twice a day too which she goes absolutely potty for :D
 
We feed Rosa & Charlie on Burns ~ Fish or Pork & potato. Jodie has whatever she will eat normally Eukanuba Professional or Royal Canin. Sky & Jaz will have the same as Jodie depending what we have here.

They also have some veg & tripe

The puppies have Royal Canin & Eukanuba. They like tripe & scarambled egg too

We feed ours on Greyhound biscuit with raw beef,also they have veg on a Sunday,or whenever,pilchards,egg and goats milk :D
 
Orijen grain free complete in the morning, raw in the evening- tripe, chicken wings, rabbit, lamb bones, beef, etc :)
 
Mostly raw meaty bones with some Artemis Power. I feed the odd meal of gravy beef or lamb if I want to put some weight on him.

Howard has turkey wing pieces for dinner tonight. :)
 
Mornings ... Skinners Field and Trial Salmon and Rice (a working dog food so vat free but has added glucosamine and chondroitin and a good balance of omega oils ... I think someone else mentioned the Duck and Rice which is much the same). Evenings ... Nature Diet/raw tripe/sardines/veg/goats yoghurt ... the list is long, but not all at once of course :lol:
 
Moonpig is on Chappie due to problems and its all her intestines will tolerate at the moment..Bryn is having the same for a week due to colitis ..but he normally has Burns minibites and she normally has Burns chicken and rice.

Badger has Burns minibites plus a tin of Butchers tripe per day.

James has Burns chicken and rice or James Wellbeloved fish and rice.

They all get a few table scraps and they all get scrambled egg for brekkie at the weekend..nothing gets wasted in this house but due to a variety of things they don't all get the same...they all get what works for each individual.

mine have proplan and beta junior with tripe or chicken and once a week butchers tripe with a mixture of vegtables cooked and raw marrow bones and hearts and liver cooked
 
Merlin has tinned Butchers Tripe plus Fold Hill wholegrain mixer - with added vegetable leftovers when available. Very rarely have any 'poo' problems and he seems very fit on it.
 
I am not an experienced whippet owner as I have had my first dog for 3 years. He is a pet not a racer or working dog. I was advised to go down the dried food route. I found it was useful to get sample packets of different complete dried foods either from the pet shop or by ringing the company, as I didn't want to buy a big bag only to throw it away because he didn't like it. For example when I gave him the samples he refused Eukanuba and even with some makes such as Burns and James Wellbeloved he did not eat certain flavours eg lamb and venison. He is currently on Autarky or Arden Grange, depending on what the pet shop has in stock. My pet shop owner says that her dog has these two foods and they are as good but cheaper than the likes of Royal Canin and Hills. She has also advised Field and Trial but he hasn't tried these yet. He has the dried food twice a day; he will eat it dry but does seem to eat it more readily if I add a couple of spoonfuls of tinned food or leftover vegetables. She advises against Bakers as lesser quality. Hope you find something that suits you and your dog.
