My cat often jumps on the dining table, What can i do to stop my cat from jumping on dining table?

Sorry if this is oversimplified it, but can you keep the dining room door closed?

Thank you @JoanneF But my dining room and living room are in the same space, I wonder if there is some physical barrier or a more efficient way to train them.
