What Age Do Lurchers Stop Growing?

the female lurcher i want to buy a coat for is 16 months old now

and after measuring her for a coat, she would wear a 23" coat

has she reached her adult size?

or has she some growing still to do?

shes a rough coated greyhound x wheaton.

dont want to buy her a coat

and find in a few months, its too small

That sounds quite small :unsure:

I always go for the next size up so that the coat covers their back end adequately - nothing worse that a draught up the rear :lol:

This is a good lurcher coat - warm, waterproof but breathable so they don't get overheated in it :thumbsup:

They are the coats I buy - they are great (but a little cheaper from the greyhound megastore!) :teehee:

I would say that she has not yet finished growing as Jane is right - that does seem very small :wacko:

When i measure for a coat i always go from the front of the chest along their side and around their bum check to the bum!! :- this should give you the lenght you need with a little extra to give them good coverage!
