out the back there is alotments separeting our back garden with the street over the ways back garden.

and we have found that there is a family of foxes living under the hut bang at the middle of our back fence (w00t)

mummy, daddy and at least 3 babies, i managed to get some pics the other night but havnt had a chance to put them on. but this morning i saw they were out and it was 7.30am so out i went with my phone, crawling round the garden to get as close as possible.

sorry about the quality but its a phone camera,

and at the end mummy fox leaves as flip spotted me and came bounding across the garden so of course i left them to it after that.

no worries though mummy came back 5mins later when i was back in the house.

ill try get the photos up later.

by the way we live 5mins from edinburgh city centre, no farm or woods or just plain old land for at least 15miles, i guess alotments are the next best thing :D

Urban foxes are cheeky - and really not that scared of people anymore - you were very close - watch out for mange though - we had one round here who spread it through the local dogs.

I was just going to say the same thing as Clair, about mange and also fleas, wouldn't

wont those gorgeous pups  or your cats catching anything nasty.

Sonia and Jesse xx

honestly guys i know that they can carry all sorts of nasties, :x thats why if im out early or late i make lots of noise, and also why i didnt have the pups out and it took me so long to get up that end of the garden on all 4s, i could have been closer but there were no more toys to hide behind and i didnt want to scare them.

as you can see by the mum running of they dont like my cats so they seem to keep away themselfs.

the mum and dad have been around longer than we have been here, and weve never had a problem with fleas.

but this is the first year weve seen babies and i just find it amazing that there living so close to us, so thought id share the video

i wonder how much wildlife will die to feed that litter , foxes are vermin and should be dealt with as such, but i will admit they are lovely creatures to look at

They are beautiful. How lucky you are to catch such wild creatures up close on your camera.

I was taking Pax in the woods the other day and as we rounded a bend there was a fox in front of us on the path. It looked at us for only a couple of seconds and then disappeared into the undergrowth. It just made my day magical. :)
