Wet & Soggy Lincolnshire................

I've never known rain like it through last night & into this morning

My parents live in Louth,& it's badly flooded The co op & it's car park are under a few feet of water & their house is close by (w00t)

I dread to think what the damage is going to be like

I've just come back from a walk with the dogs,& the little stream that runs through the woods is like a gushing torrent,& the wooden bridge i normally cross has been swept away (w00t)

i'm going back down there soon to take some photos,better get my waders out!

Oh Debs, I heard on the news that where you are has got it bad...I hope your parents are ok and don't have much damage.

Its rained non stop here from about 12.30pm yesterday and the drains just arn't coping with all the water and alot of the roads are flooding again and are knee deep.

We discovered a waterfall near our house the other day in one of those drainage ditches around the farmers fields (w00t) they are usually bone dry at this time of year!

Of course we had to throw Molly in the pool at the bottom, she HATES water :lol: I know I am a cruel mummy but it gets her really giddy afterwards! Was also worth it because OH lost his footing and slipped in

Anyway,here's the bridge i normally use,the stream is only about 6 ft wide & about a couple of feet deep (w00t)

& here's what's left of it :blink:

& just look at the crop damage

Debbs Ive just been watching the lunchtime news ....boy Lincolnshire looks like a paddyfield literally down there... (w00t)

hope you and your dogs aare all ok, looks like weve been lucky up this way ..although we have had some rain I can tell you. It has faired up today thank goodness touch wood.
