I've heard that a 'flapping' track is closing in Manchester. Is this Westhougton?

Yeah.......i suppose it would be as the only other track in/near manchester is belle vue which is ngrc.

We were told it was closing and was bought out by a garden centre but tony passed the other day and they were still open with the " for sale" sign still up mmmmm

Thats all i know at the moment.

Apparently the garden centre was the highest bidder but i have since heard different and have been told that the council were having talks last week with the track owner!

I have heard that Christine, who practically runs the place, has been given notice for the end of the month.

any news on the elsmere port track yet has there been any developements ?hope there is some good news soon as it will make a pleasant change!!!!

Hi Vicky

I was talking to someone last week (supposidly in the know) who reconed Arthur was having problems with the farmer at the back of the track and untill some legal details were sorted the track sale could not go through?

the farmer recons the track is causing one of his fields to flood and so is sueing the tracks owners (Arthur)?

so he recons the track will keep running for the near future, but if they have got rid of Chris then it looks pretty bleak.
