Merry Christmas everyone!! sorry iv not been on much, trying to do the family/holidays/xmas things which seem to limit my internet time :b *innocent1

i need some help my mum gave me money for my xmas to buy myself Hunters wellies that iv wanted for ages!!!

anyway heres the pickle, i dont know what colour to choose. they have 18 colours to choose from and thats not to mention the 6 festival ones.

im normally a dark colour fan, (i dont like to stand out) but for some reason im really drawn to getting a a bright pair but im to scared to buy them. they are on sale just now so i need to decided asap or i will have to pay up to an extra £20 full price :(

anyway help me decided what colour do you guys like?

my head is telling me get black katie, youll look a right arse out wearing any of those other bright colours,

but my heart is saying Red is your fav colour, and ever since you read that book "alfies feet" when you were wee you wanted a pair of yellow wellies. oh and those lime green ones are lovely. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh help what should i do?????

play it safe and buy the black, with the possibility of regretting it and wishing id bought bright ones, or bite the bullet and buy a bright pair, with the possibility of wearing them once feeling like and arse and them never seeing the light of day again?????

i went to bed last night thinking i was going to buy the red ones, but i got up this morning and the lime ones were shouting at me, "PICK ME PICK ME!" but every time i put either of them in the basket to buy them, i chicken out and go back to looking at black :(

help me please!!!

What a dilemma Katie. :sweating: I needed some wellies recently while in the Lake District - it was really muddy on the caravan site, and I hadn't taken my wellies. Like you I really fancied a bright-coloured pair, but ended up buying the cheaper sensible black ones (very boring), but wish I had been more daring (although I am getting on in years :- ).

I would say go for the red ones if that is your favourite colour.  I think you might regret buying the dull ones, and at your age I'm sure you can easily wear bright colours.

Good luck with your choice.

Hi Katie ...... I know what you mean ...... I got the boring green pair last year and regret it ...... wish I'd got the pale pink pair (although I'm not usually a 'pink' person :b ) so go for the pair you really love!

But ...... there is hope for me ...... my daughter is currently the same size as me and now has the pink pair so I'm patiently waiting until she grow out of them ...... or, if she doesn't hurry - I may have to just steal them :shifty: ...... it'll make a change me stealing her stuff!

Go for your favourite or you will probably regret it

I just bought some before Xmas, I am only a size 3 so got the childrens ones at £20. :b I am LOADS older than you and I got the fuschia pink ones. I LOVE them. Go for the red, otherwise they will keep calling to you.................Katie, oh KATIE. Who cares if people look. They didn't have yellow when I got mine, its my very fave colour and I would have got those.

I have the boring green ones too go for the ones you love I like the lime green too .( I have to have wellies at school to so I got a cheep pair black with umbrellers on dead cool as the kids say (w00t) )

Go with the red you'll only regret it if you don't

The last time I bought Hunter wellies they only did them in green :teehee:

Go for RED, wellies have always been black or dark blue or green. RED warm looking wellies, go for RED, you know you want to.

RED it has to be RED. GO FOR RED.

Well I'd say go for red Katie, but you know what they say about girls with red shoes?!!! Go for shocking pink  so cool 8)

Red - good choice Katie. I'd have gone for fuchsia pink cos I love that colour ... and who cares if people look? I bet they're wishing they'd bought bright wellies. My husband bought me some fuchsia pink doc marten's with black laces, a couple of years ago and at first I was a bit shy to wear them - cos I thought they were a bit loud - but now I wear them lots and don't care what people say/think. They are gorgeous and so comfy!!

Enjoy your boots when they get here  Like someone else said ^^ we only come this way once.

My mum had a pair of red wellies when I was a child!!!

They made her special to me, so go for it, Katie

I always buy green or navy blue because I ride the horses in them

so have to be a bit conservative, lol!

Excellent, glad you went for red..you want people to say 'wow, look at that lady in the red hunter wellies', not 'oh yeah, shes wearing wellies'! :)

Why blend in with the crowd?! You only live once!

These are mine, they are called Splish and Splash!

Bit late to say buy red ... but having taken the plunge and bought red wellies with white stars a while back I can tell you you won't regret it ... putting my wellies on brings a smile to my face now ... sure a few folk may think 'silly wellies', but who cares, they work just the same. Wishing you lots of red wellie fun Katie.
