Well Pica had his 2nd jab, his chip, etc etc on Monday afternoon. What a little trooper he was too - didn't say a word when the chip went in, and it was quite a big needle! Made me feel ill just looking at it ;)

But - when he was weighed 2 weeks ago he was 2.7 kg ~ Monday he was 5 kg  Thats some growing!! Will the vet was delighted with his progress, gave him loads of cuddles and said he wished he could own him!! Now that is praise indeed coming from a lurcher man;)

 All sounding good!!!

Will you be showing him in the lurcher puppy classes next season? I'm sure he would do well :)

I am not sure jinnyfizz! I have not shown a dog in 30 yrs! That was when I showed my golden retreiver, Honey, & I honestly do not remember much about it!! My other dog at that time was a sheltie, a rescue with pedigree, but he had odd ears so could not be shown!!

Thanks for saying Pica would do well tho' :) That's making me think now....... :)

He has now learnt 3 commands! Sit, down and come.....he is like a little sponge! Also he loves a good game of hide'n'seek! Bill & I fall into bed each night totally exhausted.

Hi Dottie,

Glad to hear the Pica is getting on well.

Tex has been for his second jab today. He weighed 3.7kg last time and 5.8kg today - he's got a right fat belly on him.

Vet has laughing at his gangly legs  Said he needed to grow into them!!
