I inspected the field this morning at 8 00a.m. and whilst the track is in good condition access to it is impossible. Even Bob found it difficult in his 4 wheel drive. As rain is forcast this afternoon and tonight here, when the condition of the field will further deteriorate then we have no option to cancel the meeting for tomorrow and reschedule for Spring, 2009. Either Sue or myself will contact will everyone involved by phone today to discuss options. It's very disappointing, but hopefully we'll see everybody in the spring in fine weather!

I just had my call from Sue a little while ago. I think we will all be gutted :( 52 whippets and a load of lurchers would have made a fabulous day out.

Poor Sue, all that work and the weather spoils everything

Here's to the next one though, and I shall somehow try and console myself as the fact that I am missing seeing Lampy AGAIN is devastating (w00t) :( 8) :- "

TCx

yep im gutted aswell..would of been nice you lot before xmas....look forward to the spring event

How sad for you all, I'm sorry that the weather has ruined what sounds to be a great day out :huggles:

Gutted as well, but on the bright side I won't have to rush Beej on his birthday tomorrow and its saved me sorting my van out today

Such a shame for everyone that this has had to be cancelled ..............this year the weather seems to have had such a negative effect on sporting events  lets hope next season is better :luck: .

I only heard of this event through TC yesterday and am very interested in taking part, so roll on next season! :)

Shame was looking forward to this event.Orgainser rang this morning to tell of cancellation said another may take a place in Feb/Mar.Roll on

Since 9.00a.m. yesterday we`ve had 29mm    of rain here in our bit of Glos.

what a sensible idea to scrub the meet!

Our sloping garden has stepping stones otherwise we`d be on our backs going down it to do the animals. If we got our wagon onto the field at Wickwar I doubt we`d get it off before the next lot of frost made the ground solid again. :(

See you in the Spring!

Liz and Gavin.
