 On Saturday night Zoomster poo'd in his igloo-bed, buried a bit down the side and then slept on the other bit (maybe because it was still warm?). He's done this a couple of times now

Don't want to bust the Zoom-love-bubble for you all but eaughhhh :x :x :x - and he pees prodigiously too so I am super-vigilant. :teehee: :x

I still LOVE HIM TO BITS tho :b :b    :huggles: but WOW (w00t) can he produce it!!!!

p.s In the interests of good taste - no photo

That can't have been Zoomie, must have been the devil Whip

Sounds typically Italian to me. I clean out all the beds occasionally and remove all the turds that have been specially kept as little treasures.

The two girls taught themselves to use the dog flap over the weekend. They then spent about 2 hours going in and out with their sister Shelley having great fun.

Izzy goes to her new home on thursday :(

That leaves just Cleo and she will be going as soon as we can get her to Belguim.

Know Ive only got whippet but noticed over the years - for little dogs they certainly can produce plenty of IT Lovely

Perhaps Zoomie needs a hot water bottle to keep him warm so he doesn't have to resort to his home-made version.  :x :x :x

Uh oh heheheh :p Don't remind my other half then Jan ;)

I went to an inter-club match with my whippie yesterday and OH now claims a broken back after the amount of times he had to get down on the floor and clean-up. (w00t) :p :p Zoomie must have loved it :* :* :* .... and all because his 8-week-old labrador was toilet trained within a week

Iggy's could never lead such simple lives which is just what makes them adorable

doesn't it? :teehee:

No Zillott, what it means is they are 22ct dirty little sods,I'm sorry to be the one to tell you but Zoomie fits into that category

Wait until he starts cocking his leg

ahhh..bless.

At least he's only got a teeny bladder...so it can't be rivers..only little squirts each time surely

This can't be cute little Zoomie you are talking about?! o:) He looks a perfect angel in his pics.... :teehee:

zoomie!bad boy! your halo's just slipped! o:)

Do they grow out of eating poo? :x :x :x Is it just a bad habit or does it indicate some deficiency in the diet? Dolly still sometimes eats her own and Bobby's when she gets the chance.YUK YUK YUK

:p APPARENTLY he has cocked his leg TWICE while outside with OH - must be a boy thing???????? Last night he watched as he squatted and the pee ran down his front leg (w00t) :x

But when he'd been cleaned up and tucked under my jumper and pressed his tired little head under my chin making those little puppy-satisfaction noises...

Star is now coming up to 17 months and hasn't grown out of it

She doesn't eat her own now thankfully, just everyone elses, and it is hard to stop her because she gets it while it is coming out...if you know what I mean. :b :x

I was shouting at her, but it started to give Vader a complex about having to go as I think he thought he was getting wrong, not her. Ofcourse it's always when they are miles away and there's nothing I can do about it

I just don't have whippy kisses very often :( :x

I've heard that it can be diet related, but in Star's case I think it was more likely to have been her upbringing as I read that if they are left with no toys etc, and see their mothers do it then they are more likely to do it themselves. She was brought up in the house, but in outdoor kennels, and I couldn't see any toys. (Not having a go at her breeder here, but stating a fact, don't want to offend anyone)

Having said that her litter brother doesn't do it, so she could just be a dirty little madame :(

It's called Corogoraphobia or something similar. I remember reading about it in the Autumn edition of the Italian Greyhound Club magazine. You want to try getting your tongue round the word when you're recording the magazine contents for partially sighted club members. There was also an article about it in Dog World around September by Steve Dean, their resident veterinary reporter.m Unfortunately the dog paper went on the kennel floor a week after I read it.

One of the causes is that the stools remain attractive because the food is not fully digested by the stomach. If I remember correctly, it can also be habitual. I'll try and dig out the article, if I've not binned that edition to give you some more facts about it.

I had a Whippet bitch who would continue to pick up her pup's faeces even though they were grown up. It wasn't until they were about 15 months old that she stopped it. So it could also be a throwback to wolfier times when pack living was still dominant.

Bless 'em, that's why we love them all so much.

Is it coprophagia? The guinea pigs eat their own poo :x :x - but it's normal for them to do it - it's called recycling!!!

Dolly seems to eat her own less often, but still enjoys Bobby's. If I see her doing it but can't get to her in time, I just look the other way :- " :- " and pretend it's not happening!!!
