crossposting from the whippet forum, where there is a photo. am surprised I have seen this case posted here. The dogs were taken out of their yard a couple of days ago.

"The 2 boys are 2 years old, one is black with white socks and a little white on back of neck, the other is fawn with a white 'V' on the back of his neck.

"Irish travellers were seen in the last few days driving a white transit sized van from a UK hire company, and in fact stopped at the Whippet owners house to ask them something a couple of days ago."

So they MAY have been taken by the travellers and they MAY even have been taken to Ireland.

They are microchipped. The black one has a white blaze on his face and the fawn one has a dark silver muzzle.

I looked at the link and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any further word of these two.

what marvellous news, if they found one there is more hope of finding the other I think? we should find out which colour Jake is, to have a better idea what to be looking out for.

Jake is the fawn dog, so the black with white is still missing. the news is on thewhippet forum. the dogs' owner wrote:

"I had a phone call on Friday at 2pm, off the dog warden in Rugby, Jake (the fawn boy) had turned up in her compound he was wandering around in the yard when she got there in the morning.

"It looks like they either could not sell him because he is chipped or he has had a fit and they let him go. The warden thinks he has been wandering around for days. I think he may have heard the other dogs barking and followed the sound.

"Me and Gary drove to Rugby Friday afternoon and brought him home. I think there is a good chance that Jack is around that area.

"Jake has a cut on his eye now and he is very very thin.

"I have contacted a lady, Doglost gave me her number and she got articles put in the local papers around here, she is now going to contact the local papers around Rugby and get articles and a picture of Jack put in.

"So glad to have one of them home but i will keep trying until hopefully i get Jack back.

"Thank you for your help

"Jen"

I wonder whether Jake found the pound himself (heard and smelled dogs) or whether someone deliberately left him in the vicinity?

Thank God you have Jake back

Please God the other little darlin will turn up :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:
