Just bought some turkey bones, they have a little bit of meat on them, do i

Give them raw?

Cook them?

Freeze them and defrost them?

Never give them to dog?

She has Beta greyhound dry mix, but i think she looks a little thin???? :(

I need some help and i know i could go look on the link, but there is so much information im overwellmed.

I never give small bones to my sogs for the fear of them getting stuck in their throuts. Large beef/lamb bones from the butcher are fine for them to chew on, but avoid pork bones as these can upset stomachs! How about adding a little chopped liver or fresh miced lamb/beef in with her dry food if she is a fussy eater? I am sure some people do feed chicken and or turkey bones but I think it is a definate no no.

I think turkey bones might be too big and hard. I would assume they could splinter into long sharp shards, which could be dangerous. I am thinking of the leg bones, but I guess the rib cage might be OK.

They are leg bones......they cost me 38p so if i have to throw them away i will do.....

I just thought they would be nice for her to eat,

Think the wings from Turkey would be ok and meat - but certainly not the whole legs raw - you could cut the meat off first - or cook it and give them the cooked meat only and juices (or make a meat broth like I do sometimes)

Scrape the meat off, and also any softer cartilage bits for her.

So no to the actual bone then?

When i say it has meat on its only a very small bit, and it looks like the thigh bone

I really do not think it is worth the risk. Get some big marrow bone instead.
