Travel Sickness

I want to take my boys to the coast. It's a 2 hour journey but they get sick in no time. Any tips?

short trips at first to get them used to the car/van/if there ok go further each time

my old dog used to be sick in the van so didnt feed him till we got where we were going

seamed to do the trick some dogs travel better if cage is covered over as they settle and go to sleep
