My dog's trapping like an absolute donkey at the minute, so instead of just turning up & using someone elses kickboard & hoping for the best (which obviously isn't working :D ) i'm gonna get one made.

Can anyone give me the dimensions for the traps at the following clubs (or what size board yours is that fits).

Asfordby

Blidworth

Old Hall

Kirkaldy

Fordingbridge

Worcester

mines the same as gin pits but we have really thick carpet over the top which flaps over the side (incase another trap is slightly wider than the board)
 
never had any probs that we can think of, its been a tight squeeze but its always gone in(ooo-er o:) ). i suppose if youre worried you could make it marginally narrower but we've been ok with it. :)
 
So it fits at Aycliffe & Asfordby?

we didnt take it to the derby but we took it asfordby and it was ok.

if in doubt make it slightly narrower,if the carpets thick enough it'll be ok. :) .
 
i think the narrowest traps are 7 " thats what fordingbridge is but then some traps like maltbies are much bigger, u cud always get technical and get one that can be widened :p
 
my ramp is ........

7 inch wide

17 inch long

11 inch high (at the highest point)

my flaps (oo-er) 3 1/2 inch each side

tony has now informed me that this ramps measurements was taken off gin pits old traps
 
lol see vicky u can get technical and make one that fits all traps, thats what mine does but we got ours made for us lol i dont trust dad
 
vickys grandad made mine :D and john scott (showtime) and vickys grandad made my ramp for the bends
 
oh right bargain then is that who is making urs vicky??

after tig got injured we changed his kickboard to a smaller one that dad made but i changed back as i thought his carpentry was of more risk to me puttin it in the traps and the dog lol. :b
 
I would have just took a gin pit one but considering those traps are wider than most, thats why i want the widths. My grandad will make it yeh, he's made all my others in the past.

you can always get measurements off it and get graham or kevin to knock up another one
 
after all this hastle and research elz had best start to trap lol
 
So does anyone know the widths of the above clubs traps?
 
fordy is 7 inches

and newton aycliffe is just over 8 i measured me board cos it aint been changed yet ashfordby is wider then these
