it's just a waiting game now.

with tortoise eggs (all reptiles) you don't turn the eggs or the baby inside will drown.

if stays in the incubator now at 30-C with the humidity kept at about 80%.

all being well in 8-10 weeks we get a baby tort the gutting thing is it's due to hatch whilst were on holiday :( but my daughter & her boyfreind have been given strict instrutions on what to do after if hatches (feeding).

all we can do now is keep our fingers crossed and see if it develops, I could candle it from about 14 days to see if its fertile but i'm not going to chance anything so i'll wait and see. o:)

are they dificult to look after?
Tortoise or eggs?

the Tortoises are kept in a heated vivarium kept at about 30-C with a basking light at one end and a UV bulb which makes sure they can digest food correctly and this also helps to make sure they grow correctly.

they are fed on weeds, lettuce, tommatoes ect and love strawberries.

some types of Tortoises can live out doors in the UK during the summer when nice weather but should have access to a heated indoor hut at night.

my tort has a tort table in the utility room for evenings but has his little outdoor play area for during the day 8)

Im debating getting him a little friend but ive heard that 2 males would'nt mix and if i got a female he would constantly be mithering her for some tortoise love
