I am thinking about getting a couple of tooth implants. Has anyone had them and are they painful?

Kirsty

i hope they're not painful as i'm looking into getting some done too :sweating:

Ideal way to replace a useless tooth IMO,

but my dentist told me that you really need

to take the real tooth out and do the implant

immediately otherwise the gap in the jawbone

that they implant into closes up

I wanted to have an implant in a gap at the back of

my mouth that I've had for years but can't because

I've left it too long :(

Go for it!!!!

I have spoken to a few implantors as they are called (w00t)

They said you are better to wait 3 months after an extraction to let everything calm down and heal, especially if there has been infection :(

They are sooooooooooo expensive the cheapest I have found is a Surgery in Glasgow £1900 per tooth some of the surgeries I have contacted here in Edinburgh are £3,400 per tooth (w00t) There is a surgery in Perth that is meant to be excellent they are £2,500 per tooth!

I have had to get two teeth out this year and now the third one has to come out. I had a tooth transplant at the dental hospital about 20 years ago and they have ruined the left hand bottom side of my mouth  So I will be missing three back teeth shortly all in a row, not good at all especially at 38! I feel about 88 :- "

I need to get myself on ten years younger to get some free implants :D
