i dont know how long it had been there, or if it is stil there for that matter, but when i saw it the ice did not look to safe and it was pretty far from any pointthat you could really get near to go on :blink: :blink:

very strange, if it had been closer i would have tried to get it, stop it sinking when the ice melts.

but no way far to far away to get it :sweating:

oh god no janis, the closet bit to that were you can get at the pond is very shallow for a good few meters so if it had been closer it could have been pulled back easily but it was way way out, so i just took a photo instead :thumbsup:

I couldn't help chuckling, even though I hate that sort of thing. It will look really unsightly soon won't it.

I get really mad at people dumping stuff and throwing litter down. I climbed over a fence today and picked up some plastic bottles discarded on a river bank in our local park. Unfortunately Fred didn't realise where I'd gone (he was ahead a little way), and panicked when he turned around and couldn't see me and ran back home. I didn't see this, and thought he was still ahead of me, but just out of sight, so went after him in the wrong direction. After a while of looking for him I realised he must have headed for home instead, and true enough my OH came looking for me to let me know Fred had made his own way home. Only one quiet road to cross so thank goodness he didn't come to any harm. He's a bit deaf these days and doesn't hear me calling him.

Ah, yes!! The lesser-spotted shopping trolley - a breed quite often seen in

tarmac car park areas outside supermarkets but rarely noted in wetlands :lol:

Surely it's more fun watching paint dry than pushing a shopping trolley onto

a pond :unsure: :wacko:
