Working: These breeds are sturdy, powerful and focussed. They are highly intelligent and fearless, though their personalities range from serious to easy going. They have been bred selectively over the centuries to become guards and search and rescue. Now they can often be found working as police dogs and service dogs. Working dogs are large so require plenty of space to move and lots of opportunities to exercise.

This group consists of some of the most heroic canines in the world, aiding humans in many walks of life.



Examples include: Bullmastiff, Doberman, Newfounland, St.Bernard, Boxer, Great Dane, Portuguese Water Dog, Rottweiler and Siberian Husky.
