Pictures I took from the dock on October 5,one looking South into the sun and one North a clearer shot. The cottage is on Lake Kashagawigamog near Haliburton,Ontario.
Pictures of the front and back of the cottage,Mom in one at the front getting things ready to go for the trip home.I slept in a room at the back of the cottage, the middle room up top.The cottsage used to belong to a friend of Larry's who died in a car accident a few years ago. They have had their problems with it.Had a problem with the foundation and the Township wanted the cottage torn down. That didn't happen, thye ended up tasking the deck down from around the cottage and digging down to the foundation and ended up putting in a septic system and somewting to do with water flow in the cottage.Still a little to do like put a step in at the front, other than that it looks great.
Picture of the boathouse,a mess inside,Larry never go to cleaning in out and a another shot of the Lake.Check out the fall colours ,the Lake level and leaves reflecting in the Lake.It has been a dry summer up there.Mom thinks the Lake has receded 20 feet on their side, a little on the other where rocks are showing, rocks should be underwater.
Picture of a Camel I took on the way home October 8.The man there built a place where he has Camels and Llamas.I saw all of them on the way up October 5 bit only saw two Camels on the way back.Lucky to get this picture as were driving by the farm and I didn't know what kind of picture I got until I downloaded from the camera.
I went to lake simcoe,Ontario,a few years back, but it was in Feb/March & everything was still frozen over ,so it's great to see photos of the beautiful fall colours.
How beautiful....my sister has some friends who retired to their lakeside cottage in Ontario. Before retirement they lived in Hamilton and had the lakeside cottage as a holiday home. Now they live there full time. My sister has been but sadly I haven't.
Reminds me a bit of when my daughter lived in upstate New York.
