what age do pups start teething we must be due son with Indy shes 21 weeks now and hasnt lost any baby teeth si when ruffly do they start and any tips for helping her with it

Evie lost her first tooth at 16 weeks I think by about 24 weeks she had lost all her baby teeth.

any time now . invest in some really tough toys, nylabones etc. also, a friend recommended spraying aftershave on wires, woodwork, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING we held dear. it really worked. when amber started teething, she went through ALL our speaker wire, 2 phone chargers, 3 playstation controllers, the leg of an end table... :rant: :rant: as soon as we sprayed everything, she decided that her toys DID taste nice, after all :lol: my vet said to avoid rawhide chews, though, as a youngster could choke, whereas an adult wouldnt.

we got this brilliant chew from tesco. its blue, kind of cone shaped, but with flat sides. theres a hole for treats, but the rubbers too tough for amber to get any out (and shes a staffie (w00t) oh, the shame :b ) but we've had this toy for a year and a half, and she still hasnt managed to destroy it. even now, she adores it, and spends a couple of hours a day chomping on it.

Frozen apple pieces are good for teething wendy, mine loved them :thumbsup:

Pigs ears and cigar chews,,,leave them laying about for Indy to chew

I always gave them carrots that had been in the freezer for an hour or so, a good big raw marrowbone is also very welcome, but there is usually a disagrement over who gets which in this house!! (Nothing too serious though)

I know what you are going through, my pup Scrumpy is about 5months now and is really suffering with her teeth. She has lost loads of them, there can't be many baby teeth left now. She keeps swatting at the side of her face and whining and then a bit later a tooth will fall out. We've got laminate flooring so you can hear them drop :blink: The thing that she likes to chew best is a rope raggy, the ones with a big knot on each end, if you wet it a bit then it really seems to help Last night at puppy class she was playing with a collie and the poor dog ended up covered in blood from Scrumpys teeth
