Hi, I teach year 2 and don't let children go to the toilet during lessons. What are your opinions on this rule? Also would you have a problem if it was your child?

Bit of a strange post for a dog forum! Why don't you let them go to the loo? How long are the lessons? How do you deal with accidents?

I have seen this on another forum and after much debate about the fundamental wrongness of preventing young children using the toilet when needed (and accidents, embarrassment etc) we concluded it was a wind up.

Not a wind up, I'm being serious.

I admit it is a strange post, I've come on here to discuss dogs, however I've recently had a parent complain as I made her little girl wait all afternoon. I therefore thought I would just see what people thought about the issue on the lounge while I'm here.

They get plenty of time to use the toilet during their playtime and lunchtime. I've never had a child have an accident.

Lessons vary from 80 minutes (shortest lesson) and 135 minutes (longest lesson during the afternoon).

This has been posted on at least eight different forums, including two different football supporters' forums. You can draw your own conclusions...
