Swagman Scratch Sprint

On Sunday, 20th February 05 at Newmarket the Swagman Scratch Sprint was run over 100 yards all level. Heavy snow on Saturday evening in some parts of East Anglia resulted in a number of non-runners. However, on the day the ground was near perfect but a cold north wind kept owner wrapped up.

Congratulations to Francis Bale who’s WCRCh Starstruck was back on form on this his return to the track, he was unbeaten in all four rounds.

The weather was cold with some showers and some sun. The track going was soft.
