Is it just me or are you also sick of being asked if you want a bloody bag!?

Yes-I DO! I've paid my bloody money in your shop and now I want to be able to carry the bloody stuff out-

No I won't bring my own bags in to re-use just cos your telling me to-

I'll do it when I feel like it!

I couldn't give a stuff about the environment!-(I do sometimes) :- " :rant:

Carrier bags aren't going to make much difference anyhow. :rant:

Tell me about it. Spend £140 in the supermarket, what do they expect me to do put the shopping in my fe&&ing pockets?? :rant:

Or alternatively the Somerfield near us put it in the bags for you and you end up with 30 bags all with just 4 things each in :rant:

oh god...i am the same..it grits the hell out of me and the asda by me hand out 3 bags at a time so you have to ask for more cos i have piled up the conveyor belt with soooooo much food its obvious i am going to need more bags :sweating:and the thing that bugs the hell out of me is..."do you want any cashback" NO I DONT....I HAVE SPENT ENOUGH IN HERE :wacko:

I re-cycle my carrier bags by using them as bin liners!!!!!!!!! I hope they don't ban them because then I would have to buy bin liners which cost money, carrier bags are free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to a gamefair today.She gave me a bag and said it was my proof of purchase!!

no matter how much money i've spent it doesn't alter the fact that we are damaging the environment and if we all have the attitude that a few carrier bags makes no difference, then the cycle continues.....

i don't buy the i've spent enough so i'm entitled to an environment damaging carrier bag attitude.

environmentally small changes can make a big difference.

if only a few thousand people start using their own bags, worldwide that's a lot of people.

The majority of other countries manage to use paper bags, why the uk has to have carrier bags is beyond me.

i do care about the environment very much and try quite hard to do as much as i can to limit my negative impact upon it. before anyone asks....no i don't own a car, i walk everywhere within a ten mile radius of my home and cycle everywhere within a forty mile radius etc etc i deliberately buy recycled or recyclable eco friendly products wherever possible.I feel we all have a responsibility to do what we can to protect the environment.

I take my own bags but don't always have enough and the daft bat say's oh you need more bags of course I do my bloody pockets ar'nt big enought and I use them as binliners :*

im with you on that, i reuse mine, for bin bags alot, and if i get far to many plastic bags i put them in the recycle thingy at saisburrys.

i always try not to take one if iv just got a few things, and i always try to jam them as full as possible when im getting lots so not to use so many.

im really bad for buying all the bags for life and then never using them again though

That is exactly what I do. When I mentioned this in a store when I asked for more bags to pack my shopping in I was told recycling them does not count. By law they need to be seen to reduce the amount that they give out. I used to shop regularly at Booths but have now stopped because of the carrier bag fiasco. Mainly shop at Asda and don't have any problems there...bags galore!

It's a pathetic very, very lame way for the supermarkets to look like they are being responsible-

No wonder there is so much fly tipping too with the ridiculous charges for 'taking your own rubbish to the landfill' a job the council does very badly and has the cheek to charge extortionate council tax rates-

In our area they are talking also about providing 'waste food' recycling boxes-possible 1 or 2 week collection-what a load of bull!

If people were less wasteful to begin with they wouldn't have so much crap to dispose of-we never have waste food-maybe everyone should be provided with a dog for any waste food- a rescue dog-2 jobs done in one!

or go back to having a family pig on the allotment :wacko:

The amount of food waste that is binned at school is outrageous-once that was collected for pigs-but the silly government stopped that also.
