Last night I made a quick visit to local sainsbury and tied Rex to a post outside. While paying for my few purchases at customer service counter, out of the corner of my eye a black object whizzed past me down the fruit/veg aisle - yes, it was Rex!! An escapologist but fortunately he had passed the bread display and a quick 'Rex' from me brought him back. I must add, this is the first time he has returned so swiftly so you must be thankful for small mercies!!

Hi, just a bit of advice, i would NEVER ever leave my dog tied up outside a shop. Do you know how many dogs are stolen from outside shops these days?

Its not just pedigree dogs that are stolen either, mongrels are taken just as regularly.

I can understand if it has not happened to you or someone you know perhaps you dont realise how widespread this is so please please please be warned now, it happens in all area's of the country & it only takes a second to snatch a dog & throw it in the back of a van even if the dog is within your sight, these people are blatant enough to do it in broad daylight in front of joe public.

Please keep your dog safe, do not leave him tied up outside a shop even if you can see him or unattended in a car.
