Suntan Lotion !

PennyLurcher as very little hair on her belly , now dont laugh :clown: can I put Human suntan lotion on it to protect it from the sun ? or is there a "special one" for dogs ?

morning, yes you can put suntan lotion on her, we have to slather our crestie,we use one for sensitive skin.Do a little patch 1st to make sure she dose,nt have a reaction.Enjoy the sun.

Thanks very much , were going to Tabley Show tomorrow (Sunday) and it looks like its going to be a very, very, hot sunny day,

so I'll take the sun cream and a damp towel to put over her if she gets too hot.

i generally use a baby /child one ,less additives lol

I always used baby strength sun cream on my horses white nose - worked a treat and a lot cheaper than anything with 'equine' on the label. Keep a close eye on it tho 'cos it can heat up if its oil based. Good luck at the show.

Ive just bought some cos Vinnies nose caught the sun last week - it was bright red :clown: ive bought UV sensitive factor 50 (it was a bogof from morrisons last week) :thumbsup:
