Sunday Ferreting

We were out again on Sunday ferreting on the same farm, finishing off the same area we'd been on the day before. John a friend who has a young whippet came along for the day he'll be bringing his pup along in a few weeks time, Hopefully his pup will learn from vixen.

The farmers son and his friend also spent the day with us.

Mally Junior again took the pics, but put the camera away after lunch as he wanted to get involved with the ferreting instead of holding the camera so no action shots today. but i think he took a few very nice shots..

Another good day out, the lads really enjoyed it. Vixen caught 1 that bolted out a warren and 2 that escaped out the longnets. I wouldn't go ferreting without her now. It's an absolute pleasure to watch her work, it's only her third time out and she's taken to ferreting like a duck to water...
