Stuff in dogs eye

A couple of months ago I noticed that my dog had something in her eye. I disregarded it as I thought it was some fur. But today I looked closer and it almost seemed like there was a huge clump of what looked like transparent dirt of some sort. Any help would be very much appreciated. See photos below

I don't think eyes are something you can take a chance with, the risk of losing sight is too big. Send the photos to your vet please.
