My step-daughter has just telephoned @ 1.30am to say she has lost everything in floods, all her money passport credit cards have been stolen she has nothing but the clothes she stands in... it is about 8.30am there! I have spent ages on the phone canc all her credit cards.... she is phoning tomorrow, but what do I do?

she sounded gutted on the phone, as indeed any of us would!

Advise her to go to the British Consulate?

How do I get money to her?

God I will never get any sleep tonight... kids are such a worry, and it does'nt stop when they grow up either she is 27 years old....

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED...

THANKS GUYS

BC...best port of call

You can get some sleep...honestly, she's a big gal now, and they know the score :) , she'll be fine...honest she will! Point her in that direction...go to bed, catch up with her later...these things work out 8) Its called a learing curve...and I've been there...without calling home...really, get some sleep, there are ways you can get dosh to her, but 1st port of call for her is BC.

Definitely get her to the British Consulate - they will be able to help her sort out what she needs to do to get her passport etc, and to get money, and get her back to this country.
