Name - Norman
Breed - Norfolk Terrier x Yorkie
Age - 7 months old
Sex - Male Entire
Colour - Tan
Tag - Red Collar no tags
Chip - No
Area - WD3 Rickmansworth Herts
Date - 1st Feb 04 approx 3pm
Description - Looks like a border terrier but with a tail. Slight brindle markings on his back. Legs are rough coated. Whispy beard starting to come through. he is described as a teddy bear. Paler 'V' shaped between eyes. A very well trained dog.
Circumstances - Norman was stolen from Springhill Animal Centre. He along with other dogs were loose on the owners 3/4 acre of land. Owner sighted him at the front 5 bar gate being pampered by approx 10/11 passerbys. They are used to that being an animal centre. Next door is the local nature reserve. Owner went just inside to put on her boots - no more than 5 mins, came back and he was gone.

Norman is similar to a PAT dog. He is trained to deal with children, especially those with dog fear after being attacked, children that cannot have a dog of their own for whatever reason, handicapped children -he looks forward to going on picnics, walks, buses. He is a very gentle dog and very loving too. The children who are currently working with him have not been told of his disappearance. The rescue is hoping he will be returned quickly so there will be no need for the children to be upset.
Sunday People should be covering the story this weekend.
