Am new to this site and am trying to find my beloved Lurcher which I rescued. She was stolen from the garden in March '09. I am based in Castlepollard, Westmeath in Ireland. I have been told that Lurchers can be smuggled to the uk so am trying to get my details onto as many uk dog sites as I can. Please see link below for photo. I know it's a long shot but I really miss my lovely lurcher and I won't give up trying.

I have been getting hits from other sites but not my dog. Recently I took in/fostered a stray Lurcher wandering in a college campus over 50km away. I got a call saying it was my dog but when I got there it was'nt but she was in a terible condition so brought her home, reported her as found, no chip. She was falling over with fatigue and hunger poor thing, flea infested etc., so brought her home as the local pound would have put her down. She is doing well now so am hoping to get my dog back so she can have a sister !!!

Please keep an eye out at markets/dog shows etc. She is spayed and chipped.

Please see photo at this link: http://www.slide.com/s/7d0BEUYr5T9UKdB1uWJA3_8xuxEBxzv9

Thanks for your help

awww she is gorgeous  and i really hope you find her.

It is terrible that people have to be so nasty to steal a dog from such a loving home....it really p***es me off

I wouold also like to say bloody good job on helping that poor little girl you saved.....so many people have dogs that they can not look after and this is what happens....well done

Keep us updated on any news and again best of luck finding her....i for one will keep my eyes peeled :)

Ah... thanks for the kind words. :) It really helps being on the forums as it keeps Bailey alive and not to give up hope. People have tended to stop asking about her :( It's been six months now. and I'm hoping they have realised by now that she won't go into season and hopefully dump her so she can get picked up as she is chipped

The other lurcher whom we called Socks as she has four white paws is doing well. Very arkward in the legs, she trips herself up  Recently got her spayed, she eats everything in sight and has put on weight. She is taller than Bailey and has more of a greyhound in her.

I remember seeing the posts about Bailey when you first lost her ....... she is such a pretty girlie

I will certainly keep my eyes open for her at the south west lurcher shows when I am there.

Keeping fingers xd for you  :luck: :luck:

Such wonderful news!!!

It's brought tears of joy to my eyes :D
