Hi

I have posted a couple of times looking to give a forever home to an adult whippet but so far the right one has not come up. We live in London so our new addition would have to be happy being a city dog. We do no have any other dogs so whilst I appreciate dogs are pack animals there may be some older dog out there that is happy to have the run of the place.

If anyone knows of an adult whippet looking for a home please let me know.

thanks

It may be that there aren't any available Sarah, have you tried the rescues they may be able to help

hi sarah .im shure somone posted a link to an oldies rescue site on here do a search and have look im shure youl find one soon good :luck: :luck:

Do you live near some parks? When I lived in London there were some lovely parks to let my dogs have a run. I wonder if your message is putting off some folk who may have a whippet that's right for you but are worried it won't be able to have time off the lead as whippets love nothing more than a good run and dash around each day.

Also, do you work all day....have you allowed for someone to pop in at lunch times for comfort breaks etc? Maybe post just a little more detail about your circumstances to reassure would be responsible folk who maybe able to help, although I appreciate you may not wish to do that. :)

Just a thought. Good luck in your search :luck: (Hope I don't sound too patronising).

I don't suppose you would consider an ex-racing greyhound, would you? There are so many looking for homes there is bound to be one out there that would be perfect for you.

I had my first ex-racer when I lived in London, he was happy with mainly lead walking (though we did have a big garden where he could run free), very quiet round the house, fine with being left while I was at work with just a lunchtime visit and although he was a big dog he curled up very small :D

Just a thought!
