Starting Boxes

Here in the Pacific Northwest (USA) we would like to start some yard per lb racing.

Does anyone have plans for the type starting boxes you use? The kind that open manually (with ropes?) is what we're after. I think the doors/opening mechanisms are what we need the most help with. Thanks so much in advance.

Thank you for the photos; they're a good start. The one thing that isn't clear is the opening mechanism. It appears there's a spring but i don't understand how it works to make the trap open. Also, where are the ropes attached? Is there some sort pf latch? I'm sure these questions seem kind of dumb but please humor me.

HERE U GO,,it just a garden gate latch attached to trap ( no spring needed) but there is other optoins to this,,,where there is a spring
