Standedge Tunnel

Some of you may remember my photos of Standedge tunnel that I posted the other week - here's a reminder

Well, as my parents are visiting, I took them to see the other end today.

Sadly, we came across a couple of abandoned whippets tied up to a post! :- " :lol:

Look at Muffin's face - how sad is that! :clown:

Cheered up a bit here. :huggles:

A couple of military planes came over - they were really low.

We went for a little walk up above the canal

It was a lovely afternoon - well worth a visit, especially if you don't mind enclosed spaces as you can take a 30 minute trip on one of the barges into the tunnel - I could never do that! (w00t)

Some nice colours and scenery :thumbsup: I must get to explore that neck of the woods.....it looks very scenic. I'm glad the weather is staying nice for your mum & dad's visit.
