My computer has been playing up and I haven't been able to get on line. Have I missed the judges name or are we still all in suspence?

Sorry Whip, just to explain Bath and Southern counties are both Championship shows (all breeds). Yes there are always good entries of whippets, but then all championship shows have good entries of whipetts!!! :D

Bath is 26th - 31st May (hounds is on the last day)

Southern Counties is 4-6th June, hounds on the 5th.

Southern counties schedule should be on the Higham Press site, (when its out) and Bath schedule is already out but I can't remeber whether thats through HIgham Press as well - sorry! THis might help...

Thanks Joe I may go and have a look. I probally won't take my Whippy's as I don't like to take them in the car for two long a period.

Southern counties i thought was at Crawley. ive not shown at champ shows for over 6 years so need to be updated please. might have a go with my sister whippet this year. is it worth having a go with him. he will be 2 years old soon he will stand and every thing.

have a look at his pic and tell me what you think his breeding is Nevedith Yippy Yuppy of Loroli and Dunaruna Elofastorm At Loroli

Southern Counties moved showground last year.

Dawn is that judge a definate? We'd heard that that was who it was going to be but that only came word of mouth so wasn't sure if it was true.

I think that she owns CH NEVEDITH VEEFA VANITY AT ROGUESMOOR.

Affix is Calahorra.

Dawn.

Wendy's main breed is afghans. Has had several very big winners over the years. She has in the past 15 years also had whippets. she has bred & shown them with mixed wins.............

Off hand , & I will do my hame work today, she has imported some. I think Neverdith?? & one from Germany. The most stunning thing of these is that one of them was a pretty colour.

They also have Australia's largest dog mag. "National dog- the ring leader way".

Hope this helps, but in all time of showing whippets I only showed under her twice. There wont be a third time. :- "

What a day this is going to be. I'am just out of bed & already in full bitch mode.

I have not had the opportunity to show under Wendye (Calahorra Whippets & Afghans) for many years now and not at all with whippets. However I write for her magazine so correspond with her (minimally) on a fairly regular basis. She has imported a number of dogs over the years: her first in ? 1976 - Ch Wingze Troubled Waters (ch Allgarth Envoy x Courthill Cashmere), next was Nimrodel Justin, then 1989 Baydale New Leaf (Eng Ch Novacroft Madrigal x Hardknott Lucinda), and Nevedith Zippy Zoppy (Eng Ch Maximillian of Carmodian x Nevedith Victory Salute) and Ch Nevedith Apple Scrumpy (Fin Ch Nevedith Xray x Nosegay of Nevedith). In the late 90's they used some American imports at stud - Ch Starbay Armani and Ch Sportingfields Irish Derby. Then in 2000 they brought in Nevedith Veefa Vanity at Roguesmoor (N Rare Rogue x Ch N. Justa Jenie) who arrived in whelp to Ch Whipcat Fire Island at Courthill. In the early days she threaded in lines to E & A Ch Dondelayo Statue and Ch Shalfleet Shakespeare.

The Calahorra whippet I have liked best was Ch Calahorra Spiced Wine - tragically lost at an early age to a mystery disease. I have also seen a pic of a bitch called C. Neva Ask How (Fire Island x Veefa Vanity) which I rather like but have not seen her in the flesh.
